Early in his career, Alex competed at the 2015 & 2016 North American Junior & Young Rider Championships and had success in U25 Grand Prix competition.

He then went on to earn multiple international victories with his longtime partner Cashew CR, including FEI 4* victories in Wellington, Devon, Saugerties, Upperville, and Lexington, as well as FEI 5* victories in Spruce Meadows, the Hamptons, and Toronto - notably capping off Cashew's career with a win in the 5* 1.50m at the Royal Winter Fair in 2025.

Alex made his senior debut for Team USA in May of 2022 at the CSIO3* in Lisbon, producing a double clear effort aboard Cashew CR. Since, he has represented Team USA in CSIO5* competition in St. Tropez, Dublin, and Barcelona.

Most recently, Alex and 5 Star Partners' Ikigai have reached the podium in multiple FEI 5* Grand Prix appearances, including Toronto, the Hamptons, and Barcelona.
